ACTING AU MEME








There's two variations of this AU to play with:

1) The Dressing Room
Come offstage at the end of your scenes, congratulate each other on a death well done or a particularly well-acted trial. You almost had me convinced I was dead!

2) Enforced Method Acting
There's no stage or scenes or scripts here. You're all still in Dangan Island/Despair Space Station/Hope's Peak Academy Donut Campus, and you're all being picked off like flies... Except instead of actually dying, you just get taken to a "green room" where, surprise! All those people you thought were also dead are just hanging out eating finger sandwiches and watching the reality TV show that you were all living back when everyone thought you were, you know. Living.

2-A) This Trial Was Filmed in Front of a Live Studio Audience
Same as 2, except the survivors won their final trial against Monobear and now it's time to leave the school. But the walls of the courtroom fall down to reveal some familiar voices cheering them on.


THE RULES

1) Anyone whose fate currently remains uncertain to everyone but yourself keep it to yourself. This should go without saying, but since everyone knows their roles now we don't want to ruin the fun of the real mysteries by just playing out the same mysteries ahead of time! If you know you're doomed, be a survivor! If you know you're a survivor, time to see what the fallout would be if someone bumped you off! Have fun and be creative!

1-A) If you are currently dead, feel free to mix it up and give being a survivor a try! Or plot out a different murder with someone else! Trying out a different role from the one you know you have isn't just reserved for the people who are currently alive.

2) Stay classy, be nice. While this is just for fun and therefore not as closely conduct monitored, we still want everyone to have fun. Don't make your fun at someone else's expense.

3) This is open to the casts of Round 1, the Mock Trial, and Round 2. We ask that you don't blend the casts, and mark which round you're from in the header of your comment. (If you were in one or more, put all applicable.)

[Once the scene is done and over with for the trial, Inaba leans over the podium, tired from all of the lines she had to say, along with the fact that she had to actually wing some of it because that's what the directors had told her to do during the trials at certain portions so that it would look more "realistic".

As if getting into character wasn't hard enough. Not that she had any problems, being in this business ever since she was a little girl. She was even known as a prodigy!]

[He didn't know until the trap door opened beneath him during his execution that everything was staged, that he wasn't actually going to die.

But it's not until Monobear (who's much less of a shit behind the scenes, it turned out) led him to a heretofore blocked off part of the school after he had had a chance to demorph and he saw Tobias alive that he finally believed it. It knocks the wind out of him to see.]

[To say that playing out a death scene was fun was an understatement, even if it meant that you would sooner or later have to leave the show and people wouldn't get to see your character alive and happy again.

The minor upside to this was that Veronica wasn't the one dying just yet, it was Sam, not that Veronica wasn't looking forward to her eventual trial and execution. It would surely be shocking.

The scene had been a resounding success given the audience's reactions, and Veronica was just making her way off stage. Her clothes were stained terribly with the fake, pink blood that the show used, and smoke from the pyrotechnics clung to her. She couldn't stop a few, quiet coughs from getting out.]

[As overwhelmingly relieved as Tobias was to suddenly (inexplicably) wake up somehow and discover that he was not actually superdead, the fact that everyone else still left behind doesn't know that leaves him understandably on edge. Like, seriously, who thought this was a good idea?

Nevertheless, he finds himself watching with the others, seated in a chair in human morph behind the rest of the group with his head resting in his hands. Watching the aftermath is the least he could do, and yet it's....hard. Palpable as the relief he feels may be, he finds himself wincing and digging his fingers into the sides of his face a little when he has to watch people mourn, Schuldig in particular.

It's not your fault, he wishes he could somehow tell him. Being on the wrong floor didn't matter. It just wasn't... real.

I'm okay, Schuldig.

And so he waits- waits for the day that something happens to allow Schuldig to learn the truth behind the horror, whether it be "death" himself, graduation, or survival.]

He slips the microphone cord off Cecil's throat and tosses it to the black-clad actor manning MonoKevin, who takes it backstage to the prop room.

His voice is genuinely friendly, now, with none of the mocking fakey saccharine tone.]

Man, if there's one thing I can't stand, it's trying to act while you're partially drowning. I was worried I wouldn't even get to say half of those lines because of all the water, heh.
